GYOFIL particles are sterile medicated type I collagen, GYOFIL is effective in hastening the healing process by formation of early granulation tissue and wound contraction. So that, the number of debridement and dressings required can be reduced.
Type I Collagen particles:
The most abundant of all three collagen types. It is the dominant constituent, occupying more than 90% of the tissue and is the most commonly used collagen in the wound healing process. In addition to the skin, it can also be found in tendons, ligaments, bone, teeth and scar tissue.
- GYOFIL particles have high surface area allowing them to effectively penetrate and deliver the maximum amount of GYOFIL into the wound surface area.
- GYOFIL particles are 100% non-hydrolyzed type 1 bovine native collagen.
- GYOFIL particles protects and retains significantly more native triple helical protein structure, thus allowing superior stability of the molecule and scaffolding through all four phase of wound healing
- GYOFIL particles, a key component of the extracellular matrix, plays critical roles in the regulation of the phases of wound healing either in its native, fibrillar conformation or as soluble components in the wound milieu.
- GYOFIL particles plays an important role in all phases of wound healing due to its chemotactic nature, which attracts fibroblasts to the wound site.
- GYOFIL particles supports new blood vessel formation, granulation tissue formation, the debridement of the wound and the ability of the wound to re-epithelize.
- Dressing with GYOFIL particles assures having collagen-building amino acids circulating around the damaged tissue. This has been shown to enhance healing process faster.
